Musical
Notes from Heather Richards
Hi
Everyone,
I
just wanted to say thank you to those of you who support my music career.
Being around of all of you has made singing in the Northeast worthwhile. I
have many true friends and fans at heart. So many of you have asked about me
when I haven’t been able to make it to my parents gigs, but they always let
me know who’s been asking about me.
I
want to say Welcome to my parents new drummer
Jessi St. James.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jessi a little and I have to say she
has a wonderful personality that I feel adds such a special touch to Shades
of Country. Not only is she a great spirit, but her drumming is awesome as
well.
I
would like to thank a few of these people who supported me at the Borders
Bookstore gig I did a few weeks ago.
The
Countrymans,
Warren
Hedden, Connie
and her friend, Diane and her friend, Sophie Leary and if I’ve forgotten
anyone I truly apologize. It was a nice turnout in an intimate setting.
Thank You to Phil Sherman for accompanying me with some lead acoustic
guitar.
The
next intimate gig is on January 18th at
3 PM at the St. James Luthier
Church 521 North
Main Street Gloversville NY 12078. I will be doing mostly original material
with just my guitar along with some traditional country songs.
“A
Country Christmas”

Album Updates:
Many of you that have already bought my first album have been asking when my
second album will be released. Lenny has been working on getting our studio
done so that we can start recording. I don’t have a time limit to give as of
yet but I will keep everyone informed when it’s released. Soon I hope! We
have already sold over 1000 copies in the area of my last album and only
have a few left. I don’t plan on getting those recopied so I can’t wait for
my next album to come out!
Announcement:
I would also like to announce that I have joined a new band called BRAHMA. I
will be starting with them in January. You can find their website at
www.brahmaband.us. If any of you like this type of music which is more
on the top 40 country-rock side along with some traditional songs, please
contact me to get on my mailing list. I have both regular mail and email
mailing lists. I will still be making my rounds in the traditional country
music scene and when I’m not playing I will still be making appearances with
my parents band Shades of Country. I Love my parents band so I don’t want to
miss out on some of their gigs. Hope to hear from you!
